As we see in antnills novel and as it is in the most military regimes, Major Sam is not accountable to anybody. While it is Achebe’s fifth novel, it is the fourth novel of his that I’ve read—after the African Trilogy, the first of which Things Fall Apart was one of my favorite books in high school.
